With scientists like these, who needs terrorists?

Three carriers of an illness so legendary it's still, centuries after its last rampage, spoken of with fear have disappeared. The bubonic plague was being tested at a lab in New Jersey that can't seem to keep track of its experimental animals. Three mice, all infected, disappeared and all anyone can say is that someone made a mistake.
